Day 1: Arusha                                     

Upon your arrival, you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your lodge in the lush forests surrounding the town of Arusha. If you arrive early enough, you will have an opportunity to explore the lodge grounds, take a dip in the swimming pool or partake in any of the offered additional activities available. [D]

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park                             

Your safari begins after breakfast this morning. Our first stop is Arusha town, for any last minute purchases before we head off on an exciting safari experience!

Breathtaking views of the Masaai Steppe and the mountains to the south make a stop at Tarangire a memorable experience

Tarangire national park has a lot to offer you in terms of wildlife and its awe- inspiring sights of the gigantic baobab that dot the park. The Tarangire River is the lifeblood of this wonderful reserve and it ensures an abundance of wildlife along the river when they come to get a fair share of the valuable commodity especially in dry seasons. Among animals spotted in Tarangire includes, lions, elephants, leopards, Oryx , dik diks, and a wide range of birds species. [BLD]

Day 3: Culture Activities at Manyara                        

After breakfast, we set out to experience the culture diversity of Mto wa Mbu. Starting from the market, where you visit a Chagga family producing banana beer, passing many different farms. On your way you get explanation about the various fruits and vegetables growing in the area and learn about the irrigation system that sustains local crops.

After having a delicious, home-cooked meal in a local Mama’s home, we go back to the lodge for a rest. [BLD]

Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park – Lake Eyasi                            

After coffee and breakfast, we head towards Lake Manyara National Park for an early morning game drive. This spectacular national park is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a shallow soda lake at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Lake Manyara is not only known for its large flocks of flamingos, but also for the elusive tree-climbing lions. After lunch and a short afternoon game drive, we head towards our lodge at Lake Eyasi. Day 5: Lake Eyasi                      

Today it’s time to interact with the Bushmen, the Hadzabe Tribe, who live in groups hunting with bow and arrows and gathering roots, tubers and wild fruits much as humankind lived in the Stone Age.

We will get in depth look at how they continue to survive and how they adapt to their harsh environment and the challenges they face to continue this nomadic existence.

The Datoga tribe is blacksmiths; a trade developed over centuries and still practiced in varies much the same way today. They produce the arrow heads for the Hadzabe and brass trinkets, some of which will be for sale by maker himself. [BLD]

Day 6: Lake Eyasi – Serengeti

This morning, we head through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, towards Serengeti.

We will stop by Maasai village for a cultural encounter of a life time. After lunch, we will do a game drive within the park along the way to the lodge. The Serengeti is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is sure to captivate your imagination. [BLD]

Day 7 & 8: Serengeti National Park                          

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is renowned for its annual wildebeest migration and large predator population. From February to May, a herd of over a million wildebeest (gnu) migrate for the Western Corridor of the park, in search of greener pastures. The Serengeti’s other animal attractions include lion, leopard, zebra, Thompson gazelle, impala, Grant’s gazelle and buffalo. Most of the park is open swathes of grassland, broken by isolated granite kopjes (hills) and patches of acacias woodlands. [BLD]

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro             

We take an early breakfast at the camp and then head to the Ngorongoro Crater. On arrival we go through the registration process and descend to the floor of the world’s largest unbroken caldera for the most wonderful day of game viewing. We will have lunch at the designated picnic site at the side of the hippo pool. You can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. [BLD]

Day 10: Arusha                                   

Leisurely breakfasts at the lodge before do a check out. Afterwards, drive back to Arusha, with a brief stop at Karatu town and Mto wa Mbu if you wish to mingle more with the locals and have a chance to do some shopping of souvenirs. That also makes a great impact on the local people by helping them make a living even with a 10 dollar worth of shopping.

Afterwards, you transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
