Take your family on game drives, enjoy snorkelling trips and relax on a coffee plantation on thd slopes of Mount Meru with Kilimanjaro in the background. Day 1
Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge, Arusha National Park

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport.  Here you are met and then road transferred to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania.  Tonight is spent at Ngare Sero Lodge.

Ngare Sero Lodge is set in lush gardens and crystal clear streams at the foot of Mlount Meru. The lodge used to be a colonial farm house, which has now been converted into a lodge. There are plenty of activities on site. Guests can enjoy forest walks, game drives in the Arusha National Park or spend time relaxing in hot springs. There is also a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background.

Day 2

Day 3
Gibbs Farm, Ngorongoro Crater

Start the safari and road transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands.  Descent down into the Ngorongoro Crater and spend the rest of the day game driving.  You spend 2 nights at the Gibbs Farm on a full board basis.

Gibbs Farm was initially a coffee plantation and is now a working farm that has still kept its charm. Located on the outskirts of the crater, the farm is situated in lush gardens. Guests will stay in colourful farm cottages and have the opportunity to experience the many activities on offer.

Day 4
Gibbs Farm, Ngorongoro Crater

Start the safari and road transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands.  Descent down into the Ngorongoro Crater and spend the rest of the day game driving.  You spend 2 nights at the Gibbs Farm on a full board basis.

Gibbs Farm was initially a coffee plantation and is now a working farm that has still kept its charm. Located on the outskirts of the crater, the farm is situated in lush gardens. Guests will stay in colourful farm cottages and have the opportunity to experience the many activities on offer.

Day 5
Kusini Camp/Sayari Camp, Serengeti National Park

On the fourth morning, guests are transferred by road to the Serengeti National Park. If travelling during January and February, guests will be hosted at Kusini Camp in the south-central region of the park. This luxury tented camp is positioned perfectly so that the surrounding short grass plains provide the setting for the most spectacular natural phenomenon in the continent of Africa; the Annual Wildebeest Migration. Individual luxury tentes are scattered privately around the kopje, amongst the trees and upon wooden decks. Guests at Kusini Camp are treated to a private butler for the duration of their stay.

Alternatively; guests travelling between the months of July and October will be transferred from Gibb’s Farm in the Ngorongoro Crater to Sayari Camp, which is located on the banks of the Mara River in the northern Serengeti. This remote luxury camp offers a peaceful safari experience in the Serengeti National Park. Guests can enjoy off-road driving, magnificent views and the vast Serengeti plains home to lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant and the huge herds of wildebeest as they corss the Mara river during the months of the migration.

Day 6

Essque Zalu, Zanzibar

Time to go to the beach!  Road transfer to the nearest airstrip, joining a scheduled light air transfer to Zanzibar.  Upon arrival you are met and road transferred to the resort.  Spend the next 4 nights relaxing at the Essque Zalu on a full board basis with daily activities.  The perfect way to end off your family holiday.

Day 8
Essque Zalu, Zanzibar

Time to go to the beach!  Road transfer to the nearest airstrip, joining a scheduled light air transfer to Zanzibar.  Upon arrival you are met and road transferred to the resort.  Spend the next 4 nights relaxing at the Essque Zalu on a full board basis with daily activities.  The perfect way to end off your family holiday.

Day 9
Essque Zalu, Zanzibar

Essque Zalu is hidden away in a natural cove overlooking the Indian Ocean and boasts 40 suites located on the rocks. Soak up the tranquility of the ocean atmosphere from the comfort of your terrace or spend your days snorkelling in pristine waters. Zanzibar is a true tropical paradise.

Day 10
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport

This morning you return by road to the Zanzibar Airport and then fly by scheduled light air transfer to Dar es Salaam.

Other Safari Important Notes

  1. ELECTRICITY
    All lodges and camps will have electricity although many work off generators with limited times.

The power supply in Tanzania is nominally 240VAC, 50hz. Variable voltage, spikes and sporadic, unexpected, unscheduled power cuts of varying duration can be expected.

  1. INTERNAL FLIGHTS/BAGGAGE
    Please note each passenger is only allowed a total of 15kgs of checked and carry-on luggage combined, and must be in small soft-sided bags. This is strictly enforced by airlines and outside of our control. extra luggage can be left in storage in Arusha (by arrangement prior to travel
  2. YELLOW FEVER
    It may be required to show a Yellow Fever certificate upon entering the country visited. Please check in with your local health expert for advice on Yellow Fever and other inoculations required for this area.
