The Mkama Tours to Tanzania offer you the safari which you will be with an English/Spanish speaking safari guide and safari camping cook. The above safari is a private safari for just your group (PRIVATE SAFARI) so that you can enjoy more. Our fleet of custom built, 4×4 Safari Land Cruisers are the best safari vehicles in Tanzania. We limit passengers in each vehicle so everyone has a window seat and plenty of space, and fully retractable roofs allow 360 degree wildlife observation. Transportation is only by 4×4 Safari Land cruisers only, with pop up roofs and carries all the necessary equipment and clients bags. We guarantee window seats to all our clients. Our regular safaris are guaranteed to depart with a minimum of two persons. Our Tanzanian guides are experienced naturalists. They know the park rangers and keep in touch with them regularly, so they always have the inside track on where to find the most exciting wildlife.

Day 1
Arrival in Kilimanjaro and Transfer to Arusha

Arrive in Kilimanjaro International Airport where our driver guide will transfer you to Arusha City. Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Meet our professional tours guide and have a brief about the next day safari for you. Day 2
Drive to Lake Manyara

After breakfast we travel to the Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara famous tree climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Day 3
Lake Manyara Serengeti Plains

After breakfast we head towards the Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa which is the Serengeti National Park with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested. Day 4
From Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast in Serengeti we have a half day game drive then we descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its huge population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. Dinner and overnight at Fanaka Campsite.

Day 5
Drive to Lake Eyasi

After breakfast we will continue our journey by road safari towards to Lake Eyasi via farming and local village of Mandera village and Karatu village proceed to cultural tour by visiting tribal group, such as Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. You will enjoy exploring Lake Eyasi by foot, bush walking tour Hadzabe and Datoga tribes and learning about bushman cultural and there day to day living behaviours, midday back to your lodge for lunch, followed by late afternoon exploring Lake Eyasi, Dinner and overnight at the Public Campsite in Lake Eyasi.

Day 6
Game Drive to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in the Tarangire National Park area, as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested. Dinner and Overnight at Jambo Campsite.

Day 7
Full Game Drive in Tarangire

On this day after breakfast we will have a full day game drive in Tarangire National Park. Day 8
Biking at Mto Wa Mbu and Great Rift Valley

After breakfast we will have a time to experience local cultures from your bike on a 3-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto Wa Mbu. You visit local farms, schools, church, milling machine, a local bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village. Cycle to the lake shore where there are stunning vistas of the lake, the Rift Valley Wall and small herds of wildlife. The ride is on fairly flat single tracks. We can include a local lunch, in the middle of the village. Later in the noon we drive to Kilimanjaro for your flight to your home. End of Tour with Mkama Tours to Tanzania Limited.

Other Safari Important Notes

  1. ELECTRICITY
    All lodges and camps will have electricity although many work off generators with limited times.

The power supply in Tanzania is nominally 240VAC, 50hz. Variable voltage, spikes and sporadic, unexpected, unscheduled power cuts of varying duration can be expected.

  1. INTERNAL FLIGHTS/BAGGAGE
    Please note each passenger is only allowed a total of 15kgs of checked and carry-on luggage combined, and must be in small soft-sided bags. This is strictly enforced by airlines and outside of our control. extra luggage can be left in storage in Arusha (by arrangement prior to travel
  2. YELLOW FEVER
    It may be required to show a Yellow Fever certificate upon entering the country visited. Please check in with your local health expert for advice on Yellow Fever and other inoculations required for this area.
