Combination Budget Camping Safari and Trekking Mount Kilimanjaro” – Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa rising 19,340 ft (5,895m). The largest free-standing mountain in the world. Also one of the seven Summits, the seventh highest points on each continent in the world. If you are reasonably physically fit, you can Climb Mount Kilimanjaro to reach the summit (Uhuru Peak 5,895m) and look out over Africa. Trekking Machame route is one of the most scenic route on the mountain. Our trek begins in the rainforest winding through the giant heather zone into the moorland, and finally into the highland desert. Each night we will be camping in mountain dome tents enjoying the meals prepared by our mountain camp chefs. All the safari camping tents are prepared for you by our safari crew and meals are prepared over a campfire by our professional camp cook. Day By Day Activities 

Day 1: ARRIVE ARUSHA TOWN.

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro International Airport or from Nairobi – Kenya transfer by shuttle bus to Arusha town for overnight stay at Mount Meru Hotel (Meal plan: Breakfast).

Day 2: FROM ARUSHA TO MACHAME GATE.

At 08:00am After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel to our office  were you will have briefing about daily routine during your trek and there after we depart Arusha town for Machame Gate for completing the all necessary registration formalities at Mount Kilimanjaro National Park – Machame gate. Begin trekking through the rain forests on a winding trail, to the Machame hut campsite (3100m) overnight stay  camping. (Approximant estimated 5 -7 hours walking). (Meal plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner).

Day 3: SHIRA HUT.

Early today leave the glades of the rain forest and continue on an ascending path, crossing a little valley and walking along a steep rocky ridge covered with heather. The route then turns west onto a river gorge at 3658m, Overnight stay camping at Shira Hut campsite. (Approximant estimated 5 -7 hours walking). (Meal plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner).

Day 4: BARRANCO HUT.

From the Shira Plateau, continue trekking east towards the lava tower called “the shark’s tooth”. Shortly after the tower you come to a junction leading to the arrow glacier. Continue to Barranco Hut campsite (3950m) for overnight stay camping. (Approximant estimated 5 – 7 hours walking) (Meal plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner).

Day 5: BARAFUU HUT.

Leaving Barranco continue walking on a steep ridge passing the Barranco wall, through the *KarangaValley and the junction which is connected to the Mweka trail. Continue trekking to Barafu Hut campsite (4600m) for overnight camping. The two peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo can be seen from this point. (Approximant estimated 8 – 9 hours walking) (Meal plan: Breakfast, Picnic Lunch, Dinner)

Day 6: UHURU PEAK THE SUMMIT 5895m – MWEKA HUT.

Just after midnight trek to Stella point (5745m) on the way to the Summit, the Uhuru Peak. This part of the climb takes about 8 hours. You have now reached the highest point in Africa (5895m)!! >From the summit descend to Mweka hut campsite (3300m) for overnight camping ( Approximant estimated 6 – 7 hours walking). (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 7: MWEKA HUT TO ARUSHA.

The day is spent descending to the Mweka park gates (5-6 hours). From Mount Kilimanjaro transfer to town of Arusha which is start point of northern Tanzania Safaris and centre point of Cape to Cairo, drop off to the Mount Meru Hotel (Approximant estimated 4 – 6 hours walking). (Meal plan: Breakfast only)

Day 8: ARUSHA TO SERENGETI.

This morning we drive with a picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation and area passing through Malanja Depression towards Olduvai Gorge we will visit the museum featuring the famous Zinj  skull, the Zinjanthropus man of 1.8 million years ago, whose remains were found here by Dr. Leakey. At 1.30pm after picnic lunch we enter the Serengeti National Park and drive toward Seronera river valley en route game drive overnight stay bush camping at Seronera Camp site – Serengeti (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 9: SERENGETI.

Serengeti is as big as Northern Ireland. It is the greatest game sanctuary in the world, fantastic in its natural beauty and unequalled in its scientific value. Serengeti contains about 4 million different types of animals including the Big cats; Lion, Leopard, and the Cheetah and many more Elephant and Buffalo. Enjoy a full day game viewing and photo safari within Serengeti National park. You will have the choice of hot lunch at the camp or picnic lunch late pm drive back to the lodge for overnight stay bush camping at Seronera Camp site – Serengeti (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 10: FROM SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO.

After breakfast we say farewell to beautiful Serengeti en route game drive with picnic lunch head off via Simba Kopjes, Naabi Hill gate to drive towards Ngorongoro highlands. We will stop on the crater rim to enjoy one of the most memorable tremendous view of Ngorongoro Crater and you can admire this masterpiece of mother nature, proceed to your unique lodge, fits into the contours of the crater rim, and is built of volcanic rock. It offers a spectacular view of the crater floor. Dinner and overnight stay bush camping at Simba Camp site – Ngorongoro(Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 11: NGORONGORO CRATER TOUR.

After breakfast descends into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day crater tour and game viewing with picnic lunch, this oval shape Ngorongoro Crater is 300 sq.km in area and 610 m deep crater is a repository of Africa’s finest wildlife. All the Big five are present living a privileged existence on the crater floor, and so placid you can move right among them. Late pm ascend it the caret rim With clouds rolling over the rim like a misty waterfall, the setting is dreamy and enjoy your dinner and overnight stay bush camping at Simba Camp site – Ngorongoro(Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).

Day 12: NGORONGORO – ARUSHA.
