Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Guests will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport from where they will be driven to the town of Arusha, where their first night of this grand Tanzania tour; at Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge. Set in lush gardens amid forest and crystal clear waters on the slopes of Mount Meru, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to relax and simmer in the immense beauty of East Africa.

Day 2
Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge, Arusha

This is an old German colonial farmhouse in the foothills above Usa River. The stunning location is complimented by the beautifully kept gardens, a dreamy lake and a fantastic view of Mt Kilimanjaro. The 10 Garden Suites are nested in the tranquil greenery of the gardens with the beautiful views of bougainvillea and jacaranda from private verandas. The Chemka hot springs, originating from Kilimanjaro ground waters, is a bubbling, natural pool surrounded by large fig trees. Here, guests can swim and snorkel in the clear, warm water, sunbathe or relax in hammocks in the shade.

Day 3
Arusha to Tarangire National Park

This morning, guests are transferred via road from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, which is a fascinating, far less explored Tanzanian Park. Here guests will stay at Swala Camp, the only permanent camp in the region, meaning there is plenty of privacy and a superb sense of remoteness. Tarangire National Park is noted for its elephant population and spectacular baobabs of every shape and colour, while it is also a popular home for leopards and the rarely-seen greater kudu and the Fringe-eared Oryx

Day 4
Tarangire National Park

Swala Camp offers 12 elegant guest tents, raised on wooden platforms, projecting magnificent views over a busy waterhole. Elephants and other animals frequent this waterhole, giving guests ample game-viewing opportunities, even before leaving the camp! Each tent has its own dedicated butler, who will provide individual care and attention to guests’ needs; allowing the utmost experience of indulgence for these 2 nights spent at Swala Camp.

Day 5
Gibb's Farm, Ngorongoro Crater

This morning’s game drive will continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands as a road transfer, before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater. This spectacular area of Tanzania is home to the largest predator population in Africa, specifically lions, and has been dubbed the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Accommodation for 2 nights here is at Gibb’s Farm and one of the most time-worthy excursions to embark on is the 2.5 hour walk to the top of a nearby waterfall to see caves made by elephants.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater

This morning’s game drive will continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands as a road transfer, before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater. Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater

Gibb’s Farm is situated on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater and offers magnificent views of the surrounding farmlands. It still exists as a working farm, as well as, fantastic accommodation for guests visiting the Crater; the forested slopes behind the farm are home to elephant and leopard, amongst other species. Gibb’s Farm cottages are placed beautifully amongst the English gardens, offering a peaceful and historical retreat; since being built in 1929, the Farmhouse has barely changed.

Day 8
Camp, Serengeti National Park

An early rise this morning takes guests via road on a game drive from the Ngorongoro Crater to the exceptional land of predators; the Serengeti National Park. For the next three nights, guests will stay at Lemaka Ewanjan Camp. This camp offers stunning accommodation in the Seronera Valley on the western slopes of Makoma Hill, in the Central Serengeti.

Day 9
Serengeti National Park

Lemala Ewanjan offers staggering views of the Serengeti migration, grasslands and sunsets from the 7 perfectly postioned deluxe tents. Each one is fitted with 2 queen size or 1 king size leather bed, warm duvets, flushing toilets and large safari-style showers. This is a seasonal camp, erected in the Migration season and offering a prime wildlife viewing location. Daily game drives are available and the unique opportunity to observe the movements of the Serengeti from a hot air balloon is offered.

Day 10
Baraza Beach Resort, Zanzibar

Road transfer to the Seronera airstrip, joining a scheduled light air transfer to Zanzibar. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, guests will be welcomed and driven to Baraza Beach Resort where they will be expected to do nothing but recline seaside and indulge in this luxury island resort for the next four nights.

Located on the east coast of Zanzibar, the resort is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand beach – considered to be one of the best beaches in Zanzibar. Day 13
Depart back to Dar es Salaam Airport

After the final four nights at this romantic beach destination, guests are transferred by road to the Zanzibar Airport and then fly by scheduled light air transfer to Dar es Salaam.

Other Safari Important Notes

  1. ELECTRICITY
    All lodges and camps will have electricity although many work off generators with limited times.

The power supply in Tanzania is nominally 240VAC, 50hz. Variable voltage, spikes and sporadic, unexpected, unscheduled power cuts of varying duration can be expected.

  1. INTERNAL FLIGHTS/BAGGAGE
    Please note each passenger is only allowed a total of 15kgs of checked and carry-on luggage combined, and must be in small soft-sided bags. This is strictly enforced by airlines and outside of our control. extra luggage can be left in storage in Arusha (by arrangement prior to travel
  2. YELLOW FEVER
    It may be required to show a Yellow Fever certificate upon entering the country visited. Please check in with your local health expert for advice on Yellow Fever and other inoculations required for this area.
