All our 7-day Africa wildlife safaris and tours, specifically include the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the world famous Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. This specific Africa safari and travel itinerary has been designed for visitors with more time on hand for a longer safari or tours. It specifically includes the Tarangire National Park and have been designed to offer you a total Tanzanian Northern circuit safari experience, while attempting to keep your non game-viewing travel time to a minimum.

We offer unique safari itineraries to suit customer requirements. All our safaris use durable, well-maintained Land Cruisers or Land Rovers, with roof hatches for unobstructed and up-close game-viewing. Our safaris include all park fees, an English speaking driver/guide, meals and lodge accommodations. Price per person varies depending on group size.

ITINERARY DESCRIPTION BY DAY

Day 1 : Arrival Arusha

Distance: 30km /50km

Time: 40 km, 30 minutes

You will be met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport. Transfer to your lodge/hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight (HB).

Meals: Dinner and Overnight (HB)

Accommodation: Hotel / Lodge Accommodation in Arusha.

Day 2 : Arusha – Lake Manyara

We will pick you up after breakfast in your hotel in Arusha, and we drive towards Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch we head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive.

The park is well known for its unusual tree-climbing lions and herds of elephant. The park is also home to hippos, baboons, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, and is particularly good for bird watching, with over 380 species having been recorded.

Day 3 : Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains

Our next destination journey starts shortly after breakfast with a scenic drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Serengeti National Park. You will be crossing Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and we make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional) and the museum which documents the discovery of 1.8 million year old human-like fossils. Thereafter we head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way to the lodge.

Day 4 : Serengeti Plains

Your early Morning breakfast will be served at the Tented Camp / Lodge. After breakfast, we will once again travel out into the mighty Serengeti Plain.

Many of the animals’ you will observe during this morning exploration will be returning from their nightly search for nourishment. The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates this great park. During your drive, you will also see Golden-mane Lions, Solitary Leopards who hunt near the acacia trees, and of course, your experienced driver-guide will continue his quest to find members of the “BIG 5” animal family.

Once you have completed your morning drive, you will return to the lodge and partake in rest and relaxation. Around 12:00, lunch will be prepared for your enjoyment. After lunch, you will again go back to the plains for a wonderful afternoon game drive. Your late afternoon game drive will provide you with a various feast of wildlife which is offered on the Serengeti Plain.

After your exciting game drive, you will return back to your Lodge and experience another wonderful evening diner and overnight. All meals will be served at the lodge.

Day 5 : Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater

Upon the completion of your breakfast, with your boxed lunch from the lodge you will depart the Lodge and take a final exploration of the amazing Serengeti National Park. After your morning Safari drive, we will head towards the Ngorongoro National park with a game en route at Ngorongoro conservation area. You will also have a chance to stop at Masai boma, a traditional Masai village (optional) to experience and learn the cultural life of Maasai people.

The Masai are an indigenous ethnic group of semi-nomadic people living in northern Tanzania and Kenya, and they are the only group allowed free travel over the border. The Masai reside near many game parks and their dress is very distinctive. Consequently, they are probably the most well-known African ethnic group in the world.

Later evening, you will arrive at the edge of amazing Ngorongoro crater where you will find your over-night destination at the crater rim.

Day 6 :Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, we decent 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning half day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is home to an estimated 30,000 wild animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black Rhinos. The crater has a dense population of predators like the Lion, Cheetah and the elusive Leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok springs while watching the beautiful hippos in and out the small spring lake in the crater. After lunch we will proceed with an afternoon game drive while we make ascend out of the crater and drive to Karatu for our overnight destination.

Day 7 : Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we collect our lunch boxes and depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch we do an afternoon game drive.

Day 8 : Tarangire National Park – Arusha

We enjoy an early morning game drive in the Tarangire National Park, followed by breakfast at the lodge. We will then transfer back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha will we have lunch and then we will end our African safari adventure. Remember to tip our guide as you may like.. You will be taken to your hotel, which ends our safari services.
